Just in my lumbar zone. Now I’m sad and lazy… I miss making exercise with dumbbells!!
What should I do? Let the pain stop me or try harder?
I must say that pain is because of scoliosis, It’s “normal” and It often happens every day (more intense or less, it depends the day). I won’t let that illness stop me, I wanted to have a normal life since the doctors retired the treatment (Happily It wasn’t nessesary go to OR, but I have to wear during three loooong years an orthopedic corset, sadly, which makes me had all my spine-muscles weak).
I have been doing exercises to strengthen my back, but It wasn’t enough to make stop the pain… Since I started with dumbbells (I REALLY THINK THAT IT IMPROVED MY HEALTH), but my mother thinks that just use the dumbbells is the reason of my pain… SHE EVEN THINK THAT ANOTHER EXERCISE, WHICH IS NOT SWIMMING, CAN BE HARMFUL FOR ME!!!!!!!!!! I hate that, She makes me feel like I can’t do anything!!!! I’M NOT INVALID, LOL. EVEN THE DOCTOR SAID: “SHE CAN DO ANYTHING, BUT SHE CAN’T PLAYING PROFESSIONAL BASKET, OBVIOUSLY”
They don’t let me take martial arts classes because of that. When I was under-age, at gym, parents could decided which exercises could I do and which not, by signing an authorization form. When I was 18, they decided not to pay the gym, because the don’t have any power to decided which activities I should do.
Parents shouln’t do that to their daughter. I am so angry and I have to do exercises by my own (like running or bending, but actually I’m using a friend’s dumbbells) ………….
But someday, when I can save some money, I will take all classes that I can!!!
